			Greater Merrimack Valley Second Annual Restaurant Showcase Week Mark your calendars. From August 1 -15, restaurants throughout the Greater Merrimack Valley region will participate in the Greater Merrimack Valley Second Annual Restaurant Showcase Week presented by the Greater Merrimack Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau.. Food lovers will have the chance to sample the best cuisine that each participating restaurant has to offer. You can dine on a two-course lunch or three-course dinner with fixed prices starting at just $9.10 for lunch. Restaurant Showcase Week kicks off on July 29th at Lowell’s LeLacheur Park, home of the Lowell Spinners, with our Summer Sam Fest celebration. Come experience food samplings from our participating restaurants and take part in our Sam Adams comparative beer tasting while enjoying live music provided by Jen Kearney and the Lost Onion. A $5.00 donation will provide you with 5 tickets to sample some of the best food in the Greater Merrimack Valley. All proceeds will benefit the Merrimack Valley Food Bank. Through the Chamber I was introduced to the Merrimack Valley Food Bank and have been able to volunteer my time and energy to that organization. A couple of weeks ago they did a food drive and myself and my 2 boys, Kyle 11 and Ryan 7, were able to drop off 100 bags at our neighbors homes and then a week later collect them and deliver them to the Merrimack Valley Food Bank. My kids and I had a great sense of giving back to the community in which we love. I think it's very important to have kids start as early as possible to get involved with giving back. If it had not been for the Chamber I would probably never have known about the Merrimack Valley Food Bank. Thanks Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce!!! Bob, Kyle, and Ryan Gere
