The Chamber offers complimentary ribbon cutting ceremonies for businesses throughout the Greater Lowell region. We work directly with your business and local city or town officials to coordinate a memorable celebration that brings together business owners, community leaders, and local supporters.

What Does the Chamber Provide?

Our team will help coordinate your ribbon cutting ceremony free of charge! This includes:

Event Coordination

Working with your business and local municipal officials to schedule a date and time that works for everyone.

Ribbon & Scissors

Providing the ceremonial ribbon and oversized scissors for your big moment!

Photography

Taking photos during the ceremony to capture your celebration.

Social Media Promotion

Sharing photos from your ribbon cutting on the Chamber’s social media platforms to highlight your business.

Make the Celebration Your Own!

Your ribbon cutting is all about celebrating your business! While the Chamber coordinates the official ceremony, you are welcome to customize the event however you’d like.

Some businesses choose to:

Offer refreshments, snacks, or light appetizers.
Provide tours of their facility or business space.
Say a few words about their business, team, or journey.
Invite customers, employees, family, friends, and community members.
Host an open house or networking reception before or after the ceremony.

These additions are completely optional and are organized by the business. Whether you prefer a quick ceremony or a larger celebration, we’re happy to help make your ribbon cutting special!

How to Request a Ribbon Cutting

The process for requesting a ribbon cutting depends on where your business is located.

Businesses in Dracut, Tewksbury, Chelmsford, Billerica, Tyngsborough & Westford

To schedule a ribbon cutting in one of these communities, simply contact the Chamber directly!

Please include your business name, location, a brief description of what you’re celebrating, and any preferred dates or times.

Once we receive your request, we’ll work with you and your local municipal officials to coordinate a date and time that works for everyone.

Businesses in Lowell

For businesses located within the City of Lowell, ribbon cutting requests are coordinated in partnership with the City of Lowell’s Economic Development Office.

To get started, please complete the City’s Ribbon Cutting Request Form.

Submitting this form allows the Chamber to work directly with City Hall, the Mayor’s Office, and other city officials to coordinate schedules and plan your ceremony.
