Certificates of Origin

The Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce is proud to provide Certificates of Origin (COOs) to support businesses engaged in international trade.

As part of our commitment to helping local businesses succeed in the global marketplace, we offer Certificate of Origin certification to both members and non-members.

• Greater Lowell Chamber Members: Complimentary
• Non-Members: $50 per certificate (per page)

A Certificate of Origin (COO) is an international trade document that certifies the country in which goods were manufactured, produced, or processed. Many foreign governments and customs authorities require this document before imported goods can enter their country.

A Certificate of Origin may also be needed to:

• Satisfy customs requirements in the destination country
• Qualify for preferential tariff treatment under trade agreements
• Verify the origin of exported goods
• Support international shipping and import/export documentation
• Meet customer or supplier requirements

The Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce serves as an authorized certifying body, verifying the information provided by the exporter and certifying the document for international use.

To request certification, please submit:

• Your completed Certificate of Origin
• Supporting export documentation (if applicable)
• Any additional information required for certification
• Valid form of ID

Our team will review your documents and process your request as quickly as possible.

Please Note: Because Chamber staff are frequently attending meetings, ribbon cuttings, and community events, we strongly encourage calling or emailing in advance if you plan to visit the office to obtain a Certificate of Origin. Scheduling ahead helps ensure a staff member is available to assist you promptly.
