Tell us about yourself and your organization. What does your organization do, and what is your role?
Northern Bank is a full service bank focused on Commercial & Consumer Community Banking. In my role, I look to partner with community businesses & organizations to help better understand what they do, & how we at Northern Bank can best help them achieve their goals.
What makes your organization special or unique?
Here at Northern Bank, we believe that helping entrepreneurs build a successful business helps build a stronger & more vital community for all. That’s a philosophy we’ve put into practice for over 60 years not only here in Middlesex County, but across the country as we’ve helped our neighbors grow.
What’s an accomplishment or milestone you’re especially proud of?
Honestly, it’s whenever we’re able to set a business up with a loan, line of credit, Cash Management, or really anything that helps them run their business smoother. The sense of pride you see in business owners when they realize the idea they had, however long ago, is now a fully realized & thriving business is the best part of what I do.
What does being part of the Greater Lowell community mean to you?
I was born in Lowell & throughout my life, have moved away for college, a parent’s new job, etc., but I always end up coming back. The Greater Lowell area is home. Whether it’s where I live in Dracut, work in Chelmsford, drive by my old family house in Tewksbury, this area has grown so much, & our people take such pride in it. Greater Lowell is home.
How has being a Chamber member impacted your business?
The GLCC has been great for me to be reintroduced to the folks & businesses of Greater Lowell. Northern Bank has been in Chelmsford, Westford, & Billerica for a long timer, but the Chamber has helped me meet people in Tyngsborough, Dracut, & Lowell that I may never have otherwise met.
What’s next? What are you looking forward to?
As a Chamber Ambassador, I’m looking forward to getting out & meeting all of our members, seeing who would be interested in joining the Chamber, & bringing folks together who’d be a natural fit to help in growing our Community together.
